オースティンミニ製作記 4 -The modeling of Austin MINI vol.4
完成です。多少コンパウンドで研摩しましたが塗りムラは完全には消せませんでした。タミヤコンパウンドの粗めでは光沢塗装だけの時より光沢は落ちますが、みるみる粗さが取れるので、調子こいて磨いたら下地が露出してしまいました。粗め研摩はほどほどにして、仕上げ研摩で光沢を出しました。
It is completion. I polished it in coarse Compound, but the coating spot does not completely disappear. The luster declines than luster paint when I use the coarse Tamiya compound. A base is exposed when I polish it intensely. Therefore I kept the rather coarse use within bounds and served luster at the finish polishing. 
メッキシルバー塗装はシルバー塗装を下地にして塗ってみましたが、輝きがイマイチです。バンパーのメッキ落とした素地にそのまま塗ると輝きました。どうも下地の荒さを引きずるようです。これは今後の研究課題です。墨入れはドア等のみ、控え目に。左のウィンドウに細かなひび割れが入っているのを確認しました。組立時にボディとの相性が悪く若干しならせた時にできたと思われます。透明パーツは他のパーツと比べて硬いのでこれはやってはいけないことでした。おおいに反省すべき点です。ともあれイメージどおりに完成したと思いますので充分満足はしています。
The plating silver painting gave a first coat in silver, but brightness was insufficient. However, the place shined when I painted the place where I did not give a first coat on with plating silver. Probably I think that surface coarseness of the undercoating influences it. This is a future research theme. I discovered a careful crack in the left window. I think that it is caused by the fact that I let transparent parts bend at the time of assembling. Because I was obstinate, as for the transparent parts, I cracked. This is the point that you should reflect on. Because it was completed according to the image, I am satisfied. 
さて、それでは次のトラバントを製作準備するとしますか。M24が作成途中なのですが、これはまだまだ時間がかかりそうです。平行生産することにします。AFVはしんどいということを今更ながら感じます。
