M24製作記 5　-The modeling of M24 Chaffee vol.5

OMV塗装した後、マーキングの前にエナメルのバフでウォッシングしたため、全体にやや白くなりました。ダーク系の基本色には私はこの手法で汚しベースを作り使用感を出します。墨入れは必要に応じて行いますが、すでに基本色とウォッシングでコントラストは表現されているので、ほどほどの処理で十分です。キズと錆を適当に付けますが、なにせヨーロッパ戦線終戦間際の数ヶ月の投入ですから、あまりバトルダメージは入れないで処理しようと思います。

After having painted OMV, I did washing processing before a marking in BUFF COLOR of the enamel. At the time of dark basic color, I express usability in BUFF COLOR. I attach the shadow as needed. Contrast becomes higher by basic color and washing. Little processing is enough for the shadow. Then, I turn on a wound and rust. Because M24 is participation in the end of the war direct front, I do not put the battle damage very much.このM24への錆表現は、基本的にエナメルのハルレッドで描き込む予定ですが、以前はウェーブから出ている「さびてんねん」を使用していくつかのキットに錆表現を加えました。このツールは実際の錆が浮いてくるので、出来上がる錆そのものは非常にリアルです。ただ、二液を順番に塗り重ねるので加減が難しく、錆が生成した後に適度に加工をする必要があります。時間を置いて錆が成長しますので、上手に仕上げるにはすこし経験が必要です。

I am going to express the rust to M24 in HULL RED of the enamel. I have used “SABITENNEN” which WAVE provided. This tool can make genuine rust. Therefore the completed rust is very real. But adjustment is difficult to use two liquids. It is necessary to process formed rust. Because generation of the rust takes time, experience is necessary to express it well.下の写真のミニアートの「ディンゴ　Mk.Ⅰb」は、このツールを使用しました。やはり加減が難しかったです。砂漠での錆ですので、薄く広範囲に生成させようと試みましたが、あまりうまくいきませんでした。その下の写真はポーランドのMirage Hobby「ビッカース　アームストロング６トン　Mk F/B」です。これにはマフラー部分に処理してみました。なかなか使いこなせませんが、これは面白いツールです。そのうちこれを使って錆だらけの廃棄されたピックアップトラックを作ってみたいと考えています。ところでこのディンゴですが非常に精密設計されています。ただ実車は前輪後輪独立操舵ですが、キットは四輪がすべてFreeです。固定されるよりはいいですが、折角ですから左右連動で設計してもらいたかったと思います。

“Dingo Mk.Ib” of Mini Art used this tool. After all adjustment was difficult. It wanted to be formed widely thinly, but did not do it well. The bottom “VICKERS-ARMSTRONG 6TON Mk F/B” of Polish Mirage Hobby. I used this for a muffler part. I cannot manage it enough, but this is an interesting tool. I want to make a pickup truck discarded using this. By the way, the dingo is designed precisely. But, as for the tire of the kit, all moves freely. I wanted you to make the tire the design that right and left linked.バトルダメージを表現するのは難しいです。どうしてもオーバ表現になりがちで不自然に仕上がります。先に紹介したDragon Models「T34/85」ではバトルダメージを表現してみました。仕上がりは今ひとつですが東部戦線でのソビエト戦車はバトルダメージ表現はとても似合います。グムカのエッチングはルーバー内の風向板やのこぎり、ベルト等の適所のみの使用ですが、高いイメージアップ効果があります。また手すりはプラですが非常に細く再現されています。この「T34/85」の錆表現は塗装で表現しました。

The expression of the battle damage is difficult. It is unnatural when too superabundant. “T34/85” of Dragon Models expressed battle damage. It is insufficient expression, but battle damage matches the Soviet Union tank of the Eastern Front very much. Etching parts of GUMKA are the wind board in the louver, a saw and belts. It is minimum, but the image enhancement effect is high. And plastic grap handle is very thin. I expressed the rust expression of this “T34/85” by the painting.
