ドラゴンショック　-DRAGON Shock!

私のモデラー出戻りのきっかけでもあり、模型に対する固定概念を変えたのは、ドラゴン等の海外メーカーの存在です。それまで日本メーカーしか知らなかった私は、次々と新製品を送り出し、高い品質を持つ海外メーカーの存在に驚くとともに未知への期待を感じました。

The cause of my modelling restart is existence of overseas makers such as Dragon. They changed the fixed concept for my model. I was surprised that I took out a new product with high quality in sequence and had expectation in unknown possibility.

それはまさに今の電機業界に見るような思い、日本への黒船来航、日本企業たじたじの様相、とも想像できたのですが、実のところはタミヤを筆頭に各日本メーカーはブレずに依然高いポテンシャルを維持し続けていました。さすがです。日本の電機業界とは違います。当然海外製品は関税等の関係もあり、円高でも高価なのですが、日本製品も海外では高い製品ですが人気は依然高いようです。日本に住んでいれば日本製品を海外より安価に入手できるので、模型に関しては日本に住んでいた方が幸せなのです。

I seem to right look in the electric equipment industry of Japan. When the Japanese company was at a loss as a black ship visited a shore by the late Tokugawa period, I imagined it, but each Japanese maker maintained still high potential in Tamiya in the first on the list. The model industry of Japan is splendid! They are different from the electric equipment industry of Japan. Because it can purchase a Japanese product of high quality cheaply, it is the best about the model to live in Japan.

そのような環境の中で、商品としての模型を取り巻くビジネス形態の様相も変化していきました。小売りが経営を維持できなくなり、通販や大型店への流通依存が進み、模型店文化が衰退し絶滅の危機に瀕しています。このことは個人的には非常に残念でなりませんが、ネットワークの進歩とともに、海外製品を簡単に手に入れられるようになれば、品質やコストのメーカー間の競争力も増し、ユーザーはより良い製品を手にすることができるということです。これはビジネス拡大セオリーであり、この業界市場が成長する上では必須の需要供給バランスと言えると思います。

The business form of the model changed, too. Store sale becomes poor management, and a mail order and the business of the large store expand it, and a store sale model shop declines and seems to become extinct. I feel that this is very sad personally. However, competition of quality and the cost intensifies if business smoothens by Internet business. Therefore many users can obtain a good product. This is a theory of the business expansion. It is demand supply balance necessary for this industry to grow up.

そう考えると黒船は必然的にやって来たのです。それにより様々な改革が起きるとすれば、ユーザーは海外メーカーの台頭を歓迎すべきなのでしょう。この黒船は中国や台湾、ロシア、ウクライナ等と全世界からやってきます。消え行く文化に変わる新たなサービスの提供を工夫することで模型産業が衰退する懸念を払拭すれば良いのです。ショックは新しい発想の起爆剤です。私はドラゴンショックをポジティブに受け入れるべきなのです。

The black ship arrival is necessity. Various reform of that purpose should welcome him for many users. The black ship is in the whole world such as China, Taiwan, Russia, Ukraine. A business form turns into a new business form, and, as for the model industry, I hope to develop without declining. The shock is a dynamo of a new idea. I should accept a dragon shock positively.
