四一式山砲製作 -4　Making of the Type41 Mountain Gun -4

塗装しやすくするため踵に真鍮線を打っています。これはMetal Figureでよくやる手です。プラキットをベースに固定するのに真鍮線はあまり必要ありませんが、塗装面に触れずに済むので便利です。コルクブロックなどに刺せば乾燥にも使えます。

I attach a brass line to the heel to paint it. This is a method when I make Metal Figure. In the case of a plastic kit, the brass line is not necessary for the fixation to a wooden bass. But this is convenient because I can work without touching the paintwork. I am usable for drying of the paint if I fix a brass line to the same cork blocks.折角ですから４体それぞれに個性を加えたいと思います。既に1体は略帽を被せて他とは変化をつけましたが、他の3体にもなにか特徴をつけたいと思います。1体にはメガネを掛けさせ、もう１体は髭面にしましょう。残りの1体はやや顔の赤みを強くして農家出身の青年風にしてみましょうか。そんな遊び心を加えるのがこの趣味の楽しいところです。それにしても写真がうまく撮れない・・・。

I want to add personality to each Figure. The one already covered with field cap, but the others want to acquire a characteristic, too. The one lets you wear glasses. Another one will make a hairy-faced man. The last one adds a reddish tinge to a face and makes a young farmer style. Such a sense of fun is the pleasant place of this hobby. … which I cannot photograph well. 下の２枚の写真は２０年くらい前に組んだ、アメリカ バーリンデンの1/35レジンキットだったと思います。写っているリンゴは背景隠しに使っただけなので関係ありませんよ。最近1/75でイタレリから同テーマでプラキットが出ているようですが、出来具合はどうなのでしょうか。太平洋戦争での象徴的なシーンですので、出来の善し悪し抜きにして掲載しました。ベースは自作です。ガレージキットはタイミングを逸すると欲しくても手に入りません。このキットも今となっては入手は困難なようですね。

Two pieces of lower photographs are the 1/35 resin kits which I manufactured approximately 20 years ago. I think that this kit was made in American Verlinden. The Apple mark of the background does not matter. Italeri released a plastic kit of 1/72 of the same theme recently. It is the most symbolic scene of the Pacific War for the United States. I created the base by myself. I painted the flag by myself, too. When the garage kit loses a purchase timing, it is not available even if I want it. When this kit is now, the acquisition seems to be difficult.
