桁外れの遊覧船 -The royal road of the modeling

だいぶ前のことです。2004年の海の日に江ノ島沖でヨットの練習をしていると、沖合から大きなフネが向かってきました。フネは近づいてくるにつれて大きくなり、艦影から空母であることがわかりました。空母はどんどんと江ノ島沖のC海面近くまで入ってきました。そしてヨットが多く練習している付近まで来て止まりました。艦上には水兵に混じって多くの一般人も見えます。彼らもこちらを見て手を振ったりしていました。おそらく乗組員家族を乗せての桁外れの遊覧をしていたのでしょう。ヨットの練習中の子供達は興味本位でだいぶ近づいて行ったのですが、近づくたびに霧笛を鳴らされていました。江ノ島 湘南港内に停泊している海上保安庁の巡視艇など比較するまでもない大きさです。スタンの艦名は「KITTY HAWK」、CVA-63 横須賀に駐留する当時の第七艦隊旗艦ですね。
It is Marine Day of 2004. When I did the training of the yacht with children off Enoshima, a big ship came here from the offing. The ship grew big as it approached, and we understood that the ship was a carrier. The carrier was contained steadily to the Enoshima offing C sea surface neighborhood. And the carrier stopped in the neighborhood that many yachts practiced. There were many commoners among sailors on a carrier. They waved their hand here. Probably I would do the extraordinary sight-seeing with the crew family of the carrier. When children practicing the yacht approached a carrier out of curiosity, a foghorn was sounded by a carrier. The carrier is size so that patrol boats of the Coast Guard anchoring in the Shonan port of Enoshima are incomparable. It was written as “KITTY HAWK” to Sterne of the carrier. CVA-63 is the then Seventh Fleet flagship which is stationed in Yokosuka.
艦船模型は、パーツが細かく、保存も大変なのですが、ハマると抜けられなくなるほど魅力はいっぱいです。スケールが大きく、デフォルメ部分が多くてもイメージが優先するところが楽しいのです。艦船模型は模型の王道と言われてますが、まさにそうだと私は思います。アオシマの「飛龍」です。2003年にリニューアルした、運命の三秒間 ミッドウェー海戦時のキットです。このキットを、当時の資料を参考に更に修正改造を加えました。写真撮影がダメダメなので、これでは細部がよくわかりません。もう少し撮影方法を勉強しなくてはなりません。
As for the vessels model, parts are small, and it is hard to store a finished product. However, there is a lot of charm as the model. The vessels model is large-scale, and there are many an exaggeration and abbreviation. Therefore an image takes first priority. It is fun. The vessels model is said to be the royal road of the model, but I think that it is right so. This “HIRYU” of Aoshima. It is a kit at the time of the Battle of Midway that Aoshima renewed in 2003. I added a correction and remodeling to this kit in reference to a document. Because a photograph is not clear, you may not see it. I must study filmcraft a little more.
清国戦艦「鎮遠」です。これはモデルクラックのレジンキットです。Sモデルのプラスチックキットが出ましたが、そちらは「定遠」がストックにあります、未着手です。「鎮遠」は日清戦争後、日本に引き渡されましたが、このキットはその当時の日本海軍二等戦艦を再現しています。黄海海戦時の状態にしてみました。「鎮遠」「定遠」は宮崎駿さんの「宮崎駿の雑想ノート」にも書かれています。この本は子供達が小さい頃に絵本並に扱い、ぼろぼろにしてしまいましたが読み返すと今でも面白い本です。とにかく豚がいっぱい出てきます。宮崎さんのイメージのオリジナルが感じられる本です。
Battleship “Zhen Yuen” of the Qing dynasty. It is a resin kit of Polish Modelkrak. “Zhen Yuen” and “Ding Yuen” have a plastic kit of S-MODEL, but “Ding Yuen” is stocking it as non-start. “Zhen Yuen” was delivered to Japan after Sino-Japanese War. This kit reproduced Japanese Navy second prize battleship, but I took the state of the Yellow Sea war. These battleships are written in “Hayao Miyazaki’s Daydream Note” of Hayao Miyazaki. I gave this book to my children, but I think it to be an interesting book. Anyway, a lot of pigs come out. I think that the original of the image of Miyazaki is a felt book.
これもアオシマの「扶桑」です。現在、リニューアルされているキットが出ているようですが、これはその前の古いキットです。なかなか手強いキットでしたが、艦橋の形状が気に入り、このキットでなんとか見栄えよく作れないものかと資料やジャンクのエッチングパーツなどをかき集めて、イメージ優先で作りました。艦首の旗竿とかが飛んでしまっていますが、自分ながら今でもいい感じのできばえと思っています。フジミからも最新キットが出ているようで、新しいキットを作って比較してみたいものです。製作の時に使った資料が図解・軍艦シリーズです。この本もいろいろと勉強になりました。なにせ現存する実物がいっさいないのですから、貴重な資料なのです。昔を偲ぶだけではなく、これほどのスケールのものを作り浮かべて動かしたことに先人への畏敬の念を感じざるを得ません。
“FUSO” of Aoshima. A renewal kit was released recently by Aoshima, but this is an old kit. It is a kit having difficult production, but I like the shape of the bridge deck of this ship. I wanted to make cool “FUSO” with this kit. Therefore I collected many documents and parts and an image had top priority and made it. The flagpole of the bow disappears, but I still think it to be a splendid finished product. Fujimi seemed to release the latest kit, too and I will make either new kit in future and want to compare it with this. The document which used at the time of “FUSO” production “Zukai, Gunkan series.” This book was useful. Anyway, it is a precious document because there is not the real thing. Not only I remember old days from this book, but also feel the reverence to the ancient people who made such a thing.
