RA272製作記 1 -The modeling of HONDA RA272 vol.1

突然、ホンダのRA272を作りたくなりました。FITの相次いだリコール。どうしたんだ？ホンダ。そんな気持ちがこのレジェンドマシンを作る動機です。本来、私のホンダF1の基本イメージは、RA273。1967年にリリースした田宮模型のエース。とにかく当時欲しくて欲しくて仕方なかったけど、模型屋さんの一番上の棚に上がっていて、売り物ではないよ、とでも言いたげな風格を持ったキットでした。今は絶版品となりリメイクされたようで当時のキットは別の意味で手に入れるのが至極困難な代物です。そんな超レジェンドよりひとまわりもふた周りも小さいRA282が出ているのを知ったのはごく最近。30年の時を超えて1996年にリリースされたキットです。
I wanted to make RA272 of Honda suddenly. An engine recall of Honda FIT spreading out many times. On earth what rose in Honda? Such a feeling is a motive to make this legend machine. In fact, RA273 which I wanted to make. The super legend kit that this released it from Tamiya Plastic Model in 1967. I wanted this kit since the days of a child. But there was always it on the top shelf of the model shop and was not able to really reach it. The kit has already finished production. The acquisition of the kit at the time of that purpose is difficult. However, I knew that 1/20 RA282 was released from Tamiya. This kit was released in 1996.
さて、エンジン組んで、パイピング等はどうしても必要と、ユザワヤでゴムラインを購入。テグスと銅線でブレーキケーブル等も作ろうと思います。1/20だと割とデフォルメも効いてやり易そう。問題は作業時間をどう捻出するかですね。それが至難の業なのです。その前に他のパーツを塗り込み、エンジン部のみ仮組。ノーズも付けてみると思ったより大きいです。さてこれからパイピング。瞬接との格闘ですが、これが最大の楽しみなわけです。しかし、RA273は1/12なわけですよ。もし作っても置き場ないですよ。やっぱりこの1/20を頑張って作るのが身の丈ってもんでしょうね。このキットももう20年前のキットですが、作っててつくづく思うのは、パーツがことごとく緻密に設計されているということです。作ってて楽しいです。タミヤ、やはりさすがです。
I made an engine at once. I purchased a rubber line for the piping of the engine in a craft shop. I intend to make the brakes cable with a silken gut and copper wire. Because size is 1/20, it is easy to make this kit. I do the problem when oneself can work. I paint engine parts before piping and temporarily assemble it. I feel that it is big when I temporarily acquire the nose cone than I thought. It becomes the piping work in this next. This work is something like fight with the superglue, but I look forward to this work.
RA273 is 1/12. There is no place even if I make it. After all I am satisfied in this RA272. It is the kit 20 years ago, but parts are precise and are designed closely. It is pleasant to make it. Tamiya is a splendid model maker.
