知ることの楽しさ -Pleasure to know
日本のゴールデンウィークも残すところ、本日のみとなりました。
会社は休みでも仕事が完全停止することはありませんでした。
そんな中でブログのアップもままならず、フラストレーションはたまる一方です。
It is the last day of Golden Week in Japan.
For Golden Week, it is a long-term holiday in Japan.
The company was closed, but my work did not stop.
Therefore the up of this blog was not done, too, and dissatisfaction piled up.
愚痴はさておき、以前、映画の「The Big Short」について書きましたが、金融用語の理解が乏しく詳細については充分な理解ができませんでした。という訳で、今更ながら原著と関連書籍を読みあさりだしました。すると、映画で理解が曖昧だったところや気づかなかった作品内のメッセージが見えてきました。大筋理解したと思っていましたが、どうもそうではなかったようです。
昔似たような思いをしたことがあります。飛行機の中で海外のどっきり番組をサイレントで上映していました。それは私にはまったく面白くありませんでした。が、周囲の外国人には終止大受けでした。結局、私の経験と知識ではその番組についていけてなかったということです。
これを無知がなせるしわざ、と言われればそれまでです。が、知らなかった世界を理解することは、私にとってとても新鮮なのです。自分が知らなかったことに気づくことは、非常に得をした気分になります。もしかして今まで気づかなかったそこに、自分が求めるものがあるのかもしれないと私は期待するのです。このことだけでもフラストレーションは多少減ったと思います。
Apart from a complaint, I wrote it before about “The Big Short” of the movie, but the understanding of my finance term was poor and was not able to understand the details enough. Therefore it is nothing new to say I read the original work and a book concerned. Then I saw the place where understanding was vague and the message in the work which I did not notice by a movie. I thought that I understood the summary of the movie, but seemed to be insufficient understanding.
There was the same thing in old days. I showed an overseas entertainment program in silent in an airplane. It was not interesting for me at all. But, neighboring many foreigners watched the program very happily. It means that I was not able to follow the program by my experience and knowledge after all.
It is so if I say that I am ignorant. But, it is very fresh for me to understand the world that I did not know. It feels having profited very much to notice that I did not know it. When I may find it in what I did not know, I expect it. Even this thinks that my dissatisfaction during Golden Week decreased.
気晴らしに信州戸隠に行きました。長野が想像以上に遠い地であったことをあらためて実感しました。水芭蕉が群生していたり、高地で寒いため桜、つくし、ふきのとうがまだそこかしこに生えていました。今回は思いつくままに行ってみましたが、次は計画をたてて訪れたいと思います。写真の「雷鳥の里」は当地の有名なお菓子です。
I went to Shinshu Togakushi for a pastime. Nagano realized that it was the far-off ground. A giant skunk cabbage grew in colonies. Because they were cold in highlands, a cherry tree, a horsetail and a butterbur sprout still grew in many places. I went to Nagano as it occurred to me this time. But, I want to make a plan on the next time. “The village of the snow grouse” of the photograph is a famous cake of Shinshu.
