認識の不確かさと記憶の曖昧さ　-Memory and the truth

時間が経つと正しいと認識していたことが果たしてそうだったか怪しくなってきます。人間の記憶とは曖昧なもので、ふと鮮明に過去の出来事が記憶として蘇ってくることもあります。ICメモリと違って人間の記憶は完全に消えないで、どこかに必ず残っているのでしょう。結局、思い込みの類も徐々に現実と交錯して、記憶の中で渾然一体と化してしまうのではないでしょうか。

When time passes, I think the human memory to become vague. But past memory sometimes revives suddenly. The human memory does not completely fade away unlike IC memory. The memory is left wherever of the brain by all means. The belief unlike a fact gradually mixes with reality, too, and are you not unified in memory?

Lu Chuanの「City of Life and Death」とZhang Yimouの「The Flowers Of War」、同じテーマを2人の監督が映画化しています。このテーマは日中間においては微妙で、真実が時間とともに曖昧なものならなければいいと私は感じています。この二つの映画はテーマが同じでも、監督それぞれの取り上げ方や視点が全く違います。どちらがいい悪いではなく、両方とも中国人の視点からの映画であることを、日本人は受けとめねばならないと思います。中国では封切当初からセンシティブな反応だったようですが、中国の人の反応も微妙なのだと思います。

“City of Life and Death” of Lu Chuan, “The Flowers Of War” of Zhang Yimou, two supervisors filmize it under the theme of Nanjing. This theme is delicate between Japan and China. The truth of this theme prays me that it do not become vague with progress of the time. These two movies are totally different in the viewpoint of two supervisors. I think that the Japanese should understand that both movies are Chinese viewpoints. It seemed to be a sensitive reaction for these movies in China. I think the reaction of the Chinese person to be delicate.

Lu Chuanの作品は全編モノクロです。この効果は抜群で、コントラストによる緊迫感とリアリティが伝わってきます。一方、Zhang Yimouの作品はフルカラーです。「The Flowers Of War」にはChristian Baleが宣教師として登場してきます。個人的には「American Hastle」での彼の方が役的にはハマってると思うのですが。「City of Life and Death」にはLiu Yeが出ています。彼は、Zhang Yimouの「Curse of the Golden Flower」が印象的ですが、逆に彼は「City of Life and Death」での役の方が演技のほうがハマっていると私は思います。

The film of Lu Chuan is monochromatic. I felt a sense of oppression and reality by the contrast. On the other hand, the film of Zhang Yimou is full color. Christian Bale performs as a propagator in “The Flowers Of War”. I think that his performance in “American Hastle” is more individual. Liu Ye performs in “City of Life and Death”. His performance in “Curse of the Golden Flower” of Zhang Yimou is impressive. But I think that his performance in “City of Life and Death” matches.

先人の労苦があって今があるのです。過去を礎に平和を願うなら真実を受け入れられる度量が必要なのではないでしょうか。
