なんとか履帯の組立が終わった。片側85個の連結。今回はさすがにくたびれたな。それでもイメージどおりのたるみができたので苦労の甲斐はあったと思う。
Finally finished assembling the tracks. 85 connections on one side. I’m really tired. Even so, I was able to get the “slack” of the track as I imagined, so I think the hard work was worth it.
この小さい履帯をピンで両側から繋ぐって、履帯全数を可動させるのはそもそも神業に近いだろう。ましてやピンは、えぐり込むようにして打つべし、ではなくねじり込むようにもぎ取るってインストの指示、なんかやることがチグハグじゃないかい？
Connecting the small tracks with pins from both sides and moving all the tracks is a supernatural feat. The instructions say to twist the pin and pull it off. I don’t think this instruction is an instruction in precision construction.
それでも治具使ってキチンと履帯を並べてピンを指すと、小さくピシッと音がして繋がったことが確認できる。パーツは正確にできているってことだろう。要は神業じゃなく、根性なしでなければ出来るということのようだ。
根性なしの自分は、インストで禁止されている流し込み接着剤を使って治具で繋げられる数毎に車体に接着した。そのため今回せっかく用意したスプレー塗料も使用することなく、未塗装のまま。後は面倒な筆塗りで仕上げるしかない。
Even so, if you use a jig to line up the tracks and point at the pin, you can confirm that they are connected with a small sound. The parts seem to be made correctly.
I used pouring adhesive, which is prohibited in the instructions, and attached it to the main body after connecting it with a jig. Therefore, the prepared spray paint was not used, so it is unpainted. Then finish with a brush.
しかし、迷彩塗装がムラだらけだな。デカール貼ってウェザリングでごまかそう。
