生活環境の変化 -change in our living environment
新年早々、家庭のwifi回線が使えなくなりました。ADSLに固執したツケがとうとう回ってきたようです。復旧の目途が立たないようなので光通信に切り替えることにしました。しかし時期的に工事時期が遅くなるとのこと。これによりパソコンの通信が一時使用できなくなってしまいます。家族全員、想像以上にインターネットに依存していたようで、不便で仕方がありません。昔はこんなことはなかったのですが・・・。
The wifi line of my house was not usable suddenly. “Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line” is already a limit. Because “Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line” did not restore, I decided to change it to “optical line”. But, construction time becomes late. Therefore the family cannot use PC communication. ここ数年で生活環境が大きく変わって来ていると思います。今から2-30年前と比べると、変化の速度は2-3倍どころではないと思います。電気製品だけでも様々な規格や仕様のものが出回っており、自分も含めて高齢者の皆さんは、この変化についていってるのかが疑問です。通信環境の発達でインターネットが身近になり、いまではなんでもその場で用が足りてしまいます。便利なことに間違いないのですが、人間の大事な何かが失われていくように思うのは私だけでしょうか。
I think that living environment turns intense for these past several years. The speed of the change thinks more than 2-3 times in comparison with before 2-30 years. For example, the electric appliance has various standards and specifications. I doubt whether many elderly people understands this situation. The Internet became imminent by the development of the communication environment. We solve anything if we use the Internet. I think it to be that this is very convenient. But, I feel the uneasiness that a human important thing is lost at the same time.
余談ですが、以前、シンガポールのチャンギ空港で空港内のwifiサービスを使っていたら、いろんな国の人たちがどうやってつなぐのかと聞きに来ました。パスポートno.を入れるシステムだったと思ったけど、当時は確かにわかりずらかったですよ。チャンギと言えば乗り換えで飛行機の到着が遅れてしまい、空港内を移動するあの業務用のカート？で全速でターミナルを移動したことがありました。その際ドライバーをしてくれた係員に「手荷物は大丈夫か？」と聞いたら「大丈夫！」との返事。手荷物は成田に一緒に着きませんでした。
When I used wifi service in Changi Airport, I was asked about the connection method by people of various countries. Though I thought that it was a system inputting passport no., I think that it was hard to understand a system in those days. There is a one laughable memory in Changi Airport. An airplane was delayed by transfer from Penang. After arrival to Changi Airport, I moved at full speed on an airport duties cart from the arrival terminal to the transit terminal. During movement, I asked the airport person in charge of the driver. “Is my baggage all right?” . The driver answered. “All right!”. My baggage did not arrive at Narita.
