Making of TAKOM’s MARK Ⅳ

WW1 100周年に、満を持して発売されたタコム社製MARK Ⅳ male。キャタピラ組立に臆して6年以上寝かせていたが、やっと組立て着手。
I will make TAKOM’s MARK IV male, which was released on the 100th anniversary of WW1. I was afraid to assemble the workable caterpillar and kept it for more than 6 years, but finally started assembling.
キャタピラ1枚を試作。キャタピラ1枚につき5パーツ、片側92枚。ロードホイールは2種類合計で片側27組。やはり、しんどそう・・・。

Tommy’s warの1/32 Lincolnshire Regiment。これも一緒に進める。スリングは付属のエッチングは使わず、銅板からの切り出しで自作することにする。
Also make a 1/32 Lincolnshire Regiment for Tommy ’s war. The sling will not use etched parts, but will be made from a copper plate.
新刃に交換したデザインナイフで、0.1mmt銅板から1.5mm幅のテープを切り出し。傷やササクレはサンドペーパー処理。金具は0.23φの銅線使用。工作用の精密ピンセットは必須だね。
Cut out 1.5mmw tape from a 0.1mmt copper plate with a design knife. Treat scratches and hangnail with sandpaper. 0.23φ copper wire is used for metal fittings. I think precision tweezers for work are indispensable.
先週は霞ケ浦近くまで行ってタンポポ畑を見てきた。急に寒くなってきた。つい先日まで暑い暑いと言っていたのこの急変。これも異常気象の表れか？業績不振のレナウンが事業譲渡した今夏、猛暑の中、Aquascutum正規店にて破格価格でKingswayを入手。さすがにこれはまだ早いな。
Last week we saw a dandelion field near Kasumigaura. It’s suddenly getting cold. It was hot a while ago, but it suddenly changed. This is also abnormal weather.
