待望の一品 2 -Legendary kit 2
あけましておめでとうございます。
今年は最後の平成、亥年です。祖父が生きてれば108歳。明治は遠くなりにけりです。初詣は久能山東照宮。
A Happy New Year.
The Heisei era this year last in the Year of the Boar. If my grandfather lives; 108 years old. The Meiji era is deep in the past. The New Year’s visit to a Shinto shrine went to Mt. Kuno Toshogu.
さてさて、今年はITALERIのベッドフォード製作から。6ポンド砲との相性が気になり荷台から組み立て開始。成形パーツは暗いオリーブドラブ系。以前の経験からこの成型色のITALERIキットのパーツは、サンド系の成型パーツとは異なり、硬いプラで昔は剥離剤が残っていたりした記憶があります。
I start ITALERI Bedford this year. I begin to assemble it from the carrier. The molding parts are olive-drab. The parts of this molding-colored ITALERI kit were firm plastic unlike sand-colored molding parts in old days. I remember that a remover was left to some parts.
モールドはシャープですが、ヒケがひどいです。射出成形によるプラの状態は材料樹脂の配合とシリンダーや金型の温度や冷却・滞留の時間で変わると思います。成形方法は各メーカーのノウハウの塊です。
The mold of the kit is sharp. But, there is much sink. Combination of the resin is important to the injection molding of the plastic. And the state changes in temperature and the time for cylinder and die. The molding method is know-how of each maker.
このキット、40年以上前の設計とは思えないほど細かい部品割りです。手はかかりますが、色々な発見があって、作っていて楽しいのです。
This kit has many precision parts finely. I do not think with the design more than 40 years ago. It takes time of the assembling, but there is various discovery. Therefore assembling is fun.
荷台と6ポンド砲に心配していたパーツ同士の干渉はありませんでした。
The parts adjustment is not necessary between a carrier and the 6 pounds guns.
このベッドフォード、全長17cm以上ありますが、高さがハンパなさそうです。
There is this truck kit more than 17cm in total length. But, there is the amount of car very much.
欠損した工具箱の支柱をプラ板で自作。荷台に隠れるのでこんなもんで。
I make the prop of the tool box with a plastic board. This part hides under the carrier.
シャーシ組み上げ完了。エンジン含めて４輪駆動のシャフトもすべてパーツ化されています。
Chassis assembling was completed. As for this kit, all the engine and the four-wheeled drives are made parts.
組立にはだいぶ手こずっているが、4輪接地は一発で完了。直進安定性に優れたナロートレッドですが、後輪はダブルタイヤの方が良いかも。
The assembling has a hard time considerably. But, the four-wheeled grounding is completed at once. It is narrow-tred superior in going straight stability, but does the rear wheel have better twin wheel?
キャビンは各パーツの合いがいまひとつ。調整にだいぶ苦労しました。
The cabin has bad precision of each part. I had trouble with adjustment very much.
