さあ、暑いからどんどん進めようぜ。ボギーの木製サイドアーマーはバルサ板で自作。まあ、ドイツ戦車の“シュルツェン”みたいなもんかな。適当にボルトとリベットを並べる。ダックビルはせっかくの個片3Dパーツなので、ところどころ歯こぼれさせる。見栄えはいいが一個一個の接着はだいぶしんどい。グンゼ産業の高粘度スチロール樹脂接着剤で接着できた。あとから取れなきゃいいが・・・。この図体で悪路、というより道なきところを進むにはダックビルは必要だろう。だいぶ横に出張ったけど、これでもまだイージーエイトより小さいのだ。
The bogie’s wooden side armor is made by myself with balsa board. Well, it’s like Panzer’s “Schulzen”. Glue some bolts and rivets. Many 3D duckbills look great but take a long time to glue. These were glued together with a high viscosity styrene resin adhesive from Gunze Sangyo. A duckbill will be necessary to go on a bad road, or rather a place without a road. It sticks out a lot to the side, but it’s still smaller than the Easy Eight.
う〜ん、だいぶ気合い入れて作ってるが、パーツ少ない割になかなか進まん。モタモタしてると在庫が減らない。最近やけに焦りを感じる。車体後部にはジャンクパーツの荷物類を載せる。エンジングリル以外にザック類をばら撒く程度かな。
Hmmm, it’s hard to progress even though there are few parts. At this rate, the inventory of kits will not decrease. Recently, I feel this impatience. Put the junk parts luggage on the rear. I guess it’s about scattering rucksacks other than the engine grill.
US RANGERの塗装はこれからが本番。いつものことだが、figure単体の塗装は、どうやったって満足しないのだ。適当なところまでやったら終わりにせねば。

アクリル系のノーツフレッシュをベースで塗ったが、筆ムラで表面に細かい段差ができてしまった。希釈が甘かったのと、筆の返しの技術的問題と思う。やはり随所はエアブラシなのかな？
I applied acrylic “Notes Fresh” as a base, but the surface was uneven. I think the dilution was not enough and the technical problem of the brush return. Do I need an airbrush anymore?
塗り方が載ってたんで買ってみた。役に立つかどうかはわからん。ワンフェスって行ったことないけど、どんなんだろう？代官山の本屋でもらった新潮の冊子の表紙と雰囲気が似てるなあ。
I bought it because it had instructions on how to paint a doll. But I don’t know if it helps. I’ve never been to a Wonder Festival, but… The cover is similar to the “Shincho booklet” I got at a bookstore in Daikanyama.
