969製作日記 1　US Pioneer Wrecker Vol.1

ゴールデンウィーク中だが、新型コロナウイルスの緊急事態が続いている。まあ、こんな時は家の掃除やメンテナンスをする。床のワックスがけ、風呂場の修理等々、やることはあるのだ。

Large sprues between all runners and parts. Therefore, it is necessary to cut the parts carefully. Since the plastic is soft, there is no risk of it breaking, but shaping after cutting takes time.パーツのランナーへの配置は不規則。パーツ探しに苦労するが、相当苦労してパーツ配置を考えたんだろう。安易に配置すればランナー枚数が増えて箱に収まらない。

Arrangement of parts on the runner is irregular. I have a hard time searching for parts, but the manufacturer probably had a hard time thinking about the parts placement on the runner. If they are easily placed, the number of runners will increase and they will not fit in the box.シャーシから製作。スコヤで角度確認しながら組み立て。歪まないようにとは思うが、箱組は難しい。

I assemble from the chassis. Assemble while checking the angle using square. I want to assemble it without distortion, but it is difficult.シャーシ組立中。今回もなかなかのハイペースな組立て。ここまでエッチングパーツはゼロ。

Chassis is being assembled. My production this time is also fast. Up to this point, no etching parts have been used.作りやすいタミヤキットもいいのだが、たまにはこんな超精密キットも悪くない。ガイドがないからほぼ目見当。果たして10輪接地するかな？

I like some Tamiya kits that are easy to make, but sometimes such super-precision kits are not bad. However, since there is no guide, I mostly rely on my intuition to assemble. Will 10 wheels really touch the ground?
